Ceylon True Cinnamon Sticks

Ceylon cinnamon (Cinnamomum verum) is the original, "true" cinnamon — prized for its delicate, complex flavor that is sweeter and more refined than the common cassia variety found in most stores. Our cinnamon comes from small family plantations in southern Sri Lanka. The bark is carefully hand-peeled from young branches and rolled into the characteristic multi-layered quills. The result is a spice that dissolves beautifully in liquids and imparts a subtle, sophisticated warmth. Ceylon cinnamon contains very low levels of coumarin, making it safe for daily consumption — a significant advantage over cassia cinnamon.
